Southern Salt outdoors offers superior waterfowl hunting in the legendary fields and marshes of Southwest Louisiana, the heart of the Mississippi Flyway. We provide a quality hunt by offering complete comfort and superb hunting over realistic decoy spreads on the finest lands Southwest Louisiana has to offer.

Our culmination of rice field blinds and marsh blinds produce an abundance of duck and goose species including mallards, pintails, gadwall, widgeon, speckle belly, and Snow Goose. Our spacious pit blinds will have you relaxing with clients or family members. Come experience the fruits of relentless off-season work, professional calling & experienced guides. Our guides have one goal, to make your trip a memorable experience each time you hunt with us.

HIGHLIGHTS

After a relaxing evening of stories, drinks, amazing Southern Louisiana cuisine and a good nights rest; you will wake to a full southern breakfast. Lodge groups will be lead by caravan in their own vehicles to the hunting areas, which can be up to 30 minutes from the lodge. There you will meet your guide and then follow him in your own vehicle to the designated hunting spot less than five minutes away.
The hunt will commence at legal shooting hours and end by 10am at which time you will depart the fields by ATV and meet up at the restaurant. When all groups are accounted for and all birds are properly tagged, we will depart for the lodge. The birds will be dropped off for processing while your group returns to the lodge to clean up and eat a hot lunch. You may pick your birds up at the processors when you depart the lodge and settle any processing fees with them.
